I wanted to test the new blogger beta, especially since blogger classic has been down so much lately. So, here's the test. I intend for it to be an urbanism picture of the day blog, hence the title, but for now, here's a jack-o-lantern!
i checked out some pumpkin carving sites and was interested to learn that you get a fabulous flaming pumpkin (maybe flames a foot or so above the top of the pumpkin) if you put a roll of toilet paper into a similar sized paint can and soak it overnight in kerosene. the flames last about 3o minutes. so a prudent person might want to do more than one AND have a long set of tongs available for substituting one can for another.
